About Omni Air Group

Omni Air Group was co-founded in 1997 by Paul Salerno, previous owner and Director of Operations for Salair Air Cargo and Classic Airlines. Paul began his aviation career in 1976 as an A&P mechanic. He is an Airline Transport Pilot and has held positions as Chief Pilot, Chief Inspector, Instructor and Check Airman under FARs 135 and 121. Paul holds a BS degree in Aerospace Science and is an experienced technical writer. He has authored and developed numerous 121 operations, maintenance and training manuals that incorporate ATOS system safety attributes, and was instrumental in developing the OAG Safety Management System Paul is OAG's President, and performs quality assurance of all work produced by Omni Air Group.

Bruce Salerno co-founded Omni Air Group together with brother Paul in 1997. During the 1980’s Bruce led Salair and Classic Airlines through DOT 401 and FAA certifications under parts 125, 135 and 121 of the FARs. While serving as General Manager, Bruce developed and implemented several aviation business turnaround strategies for both commuter and charter airlines, with emphasis on growth and risk management. Bruce has more than 25 years of experience in large aircraft maintenance management and repair station procedures, including holding positions as Director of Maintenance and Chief Inspector under FAR part 121.

Rich Stuart is the original developer of OAG’s award-winning Incident Reporter™ SMS Risk Management & Cost Tracking Program. Rich is an experienced technical writer and has developed and authored numerous publications for airline operations. He is also an experienced software developer. Rich is in charge of IR tech support for all Omni Air Group customers.

Wendy Henson presently serves as Director of Marketing for Omni Air Group. She brings with her over 10 years of advertising, marketing and office management experience. Wendy is currently working towards a graduate degree at Gonzaga University. Wendy has been instrumental in promoting OAG products and services. If you’ve seen some of Wendy’s work, then you know what a valuable asset she is to the OAG team

Salair was founded in 1980 by Bruce and Paul Salerno, operating a fleet of 9 DC-3s and 3 Convair 340/440s under FARs 135 and 121. Salair obtained DOT authority and FAA certification to conduct scheduled passenger operations under the dba of Classic Airlines. Salair was sold in 1997 to Wein Air Alaska.
